Touchstones for Elementary Students

The elementary school program introduces young students—through fables, poems, art, and literature—to the fundamental concepts of group discussion. In these group discussions, students compare their own points of view with those of their classmates and with those of great thinkers from around the world. Students improve their vocabulary and comprehension, evaluate arguments, present evidence, consider narrative context, and learn to respect the opinions of others. Touchstones Discussions create an excited and energetic interest in learning that students then apply to other subjects they study.

In response to numerous requests, Touchstones is rolling out a program that provides educators with the rights to use Touchstones materials school-wide for an annual licensing fee. This program authorizes paid subscribers to access any and all educational content within a selected volume for use throughout a school. The licensing fees are structured based on the number of students per school and the number of volumes you wish to license. Please contact Ryan Phillips, Touchstones Director of School Programs, at ryanp@touchstones.org for more information and details.
