Our Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
Dear Touchstones Teachers, Friends, and Donors:
In response to local, state, and federal mandates pertaining to the COVID-19 outbreak, our primary focus remains the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and community. At this time, our offices are minimally staffed to ensure we are fully operational and working remotely in compliance with all directives.
We are responding as quickly as possible to requests from teachers and districts for digital access to materials already purchased. In addition, we are continuing as much programming as possible online and have launched a new community discussion program open to all. That discussion group provides people from all backgrounds and situations the opportunity every other week to engage with others in lively and thoughtful Touchstones discussions. We are also hosting a teachers’ community group online every two weeks to connect educators to others who are running Touchpebbles and Touchstones discussions in the digital realm and using a variety of platforms and tools.
Thanks to funding from donors and volunteerism from our staff, these online programs are free to all participants. For more information about either the community or the teacher groups, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also reach us by phone at 410 604 3309.
Thank you for everything you’re doing to advance children’s and adults’ learning and positive community connection at such a difficult and uncertain time. We will continue to update this message based on the evolving health emergency.
Please stay well.
