Special End of Year Raffle
Touchstones is excited to offer a special art raffle
featuring a landscape painting by
Elliott Zuckerman.
In 2018, Dr. Elliott Zuckerman announced a planned gift to Touchstones in support of our discussion-based educational programs. This extraordinary bequest was made as a gift to the Touchstones Legacy Campaign, which seeks to expand programming, build organizational capacity, and ensure the long-term sustainability of Touchstones as a non-profit organization performing exceptional work in education. Unexpectedly, Elliott passed away in June of 2019. His final gift to Touchstones includes all of his paintings at the time of his passing. It is now our honor and commitment to ensure his wishes are fulfilled by sharing his art and making select works available for purchase each year.
Following an initial retrospective in October 2019 of 23 of Elliott’s works (from private collections and those to be received by Touchstones), it is our pleasure to offer Boulders, a landscape painted in 2015, for this special raffle. All proceeds from this raffle will go to provide teacher scholarship seats at Touchstones workshops, access to Touchstones programming even when school funding is scarce, and to recognize and celebrate exemplary educators through the Touchstones Teacher of the Year Award. (To learn more about Elliott’s art and the retrospective exhibition, please click here.)
The drawing will occur on January 6th, 2020.
Boulders is a landscape painting on canvas in oil and charcoal. Its dimensions are 30” x 24” and it is sold unframed. Based on established market history for the artist’s works, this painting is valued at $3,750. Shipping costs are covered by the raffle.
This raffle is now closed.
This raffle runs from Dec. 20, 2019 through Jan. 5, 2020. One winner will be selected and notified on Jan. 6, 2020.
There is no limit to the number of tickets you may purchase. Each ticket holder will be notified of their ticket numbers in a separate email from the Touchstones Discussion Project shortly after your transaction is completed.
